Cheap and Practical: ANCHEER Folding Electric Bike With 16-inch Wheels

And the best thing about this small city commuter is the fact that it costs only $459.99. Yes, just over four hundred dollars, which is lower than similar electric bike models on the market.

What to Expect at ANCHEER Folding City Commuter?

The new ANCHEER e-bike is actually something between a city bike and a fun first time e-bike for beginners. There are pedals, while a large battery is located under the seat. The motor is placed at the rear wheel. It is a part of ANCHEER folding electric bikes series consisting of 6 models. Earlier we wrote about ANCHEER Folding e-Bike with 14-inch tires which is a bit smaller than this model.

The 36V 8Ah Lithium-Ion battery can be easily removed, so you can take it of and recharge it inside the house or office with no need to bring the whole bike with you. Its range is more than a good, you can travel up to 30 miles on a single charge (of course, you need to deploy pedal assist mode, on throttle only mode maximum distance halves).

Top speed of this cute city commuter is 15.5 mph. That is, it is the maximum speed that the electric drive will provide you with. If you want to turn the pedals faster, no one is stopping you. This is a fairly standard solution on all electric bikes and concerns safety but also legal regulations in many countries that limit the speed of personal electric vehicles for which you do not need a permit to exactly 15 mph.

My main objection is that there are no built-in headlights and taillights, so you need to buy them separately. However, it issomehow expected at smal and cheap folding electric bikes.

This model features simple disc brakes on both wheels. Discs are a better solution for brakes, but for $459 you can’t expect the very top of the offer.

There is a small controller on the steering wheel where you will be able to choose the speed. This LED 3-speed smart meter button is so simple to use, just pres +/- buttons to change between modes.

Its folding and compact design is ideal to easily store and transport the bike.
If you plan to put it in a car trunk or to carry it onto the bus or train, this is the right choice for you. Even pedals are foldable. I liked that a lot.
