The Hover-1X8 Blackhawk electric scooter is the newest adition to Hover-1 midrange budget electric scooters. Their most popular model is Hover-1 Alpha. I need to say that the Blackhawk is a generic e-scooter made under different brands. One of the most popular brands and models available on the market is Turboant X7 Pro. However, one really cool feature made me to give you a fast insiught into the Blackhawk. It features detachable battery pack, meaning you can easily swap batteries and keep riding without stopping (of course, you need to have 2 battery packs for this trick). I really like the possibility to swap batteries because maximum range is doubled this way with no sweat.

Design and Features of Hover-1 Blackhawk

The Hover-1 X8 Blackhawk features a larger battery pack for extended range. This is the most important about this model. For its price of $325 you are going to be pleasantly surprised with its capabilities, quality of workmanship and durability.

With a top speed of 18 mph and maximum range of 26 miles on a single charge the Blackhawk is very cool midrange city commuetr electric. the coolest about this model is if you have spare battery pack, in just few seconds you can double the range and go as far as 52 miles. This is great feature that lots of scooters are’t offering yet. It is not the sturdiest model on the market, but it is reliable and sturdy enough to carry a rider up to 220 lbs.

The X8 Blackhawk is a great model for first-time riders as it is lightweight, portable and packs together many user-friendly features, including a small folded footprint, quick folding that locks into position for easy carrying, an ergonomic thumb throttle, and a high-mounted headlight.

This scooter features portable and lightweight design, it weighs only 37 lbs. The stem locking mechanism feels particularly solid and the locking clasp is very easy to clip to the fender when folded.

Motor, Battery, Speed and Range

The X8 Blackhawk offers a 26-mile range, but as with all electric scooters, it’s a figure based on the most optimistic of circumstances. In my riding, which involved going up and down hills, I was able to get about 15 miles out of the Blackhawk’s battery. Over flat terrains you will be able to achieve much better results.

With its 350 W front motor, this electric scooter is surprisingly fast and agile.. While its top speed is 19 mph, I could feel that it was ready and willing to go much faster on flat terrains and downhills.

However, the weakest point is its 36 V battery with 10,4 Ah capacity. This is the main reason why it drains so fast while driving uphills and on maximum throttle.
