Just when we thought that there will be nothing new in hoverboard world at least till the end of 2017 we got news that Cutting Edge Products based in Newport Beach, California has released new MOZZIE hoverboard. We heard about it during last few months but we weren’t so sure what the fuzz is about. And now we got it. Mozzie hoverboard represents all new aproach to hoverboard safety and riding experience. Technology Behind Mozzie Hoverboard
As Nigel Stobart, Cutting Edge’s CEO says Mozzie was born “out of a very simple idea: to build a Hoverboard that was both easier and more fun to ride than the hoverboards available today”. What was in the focus of Mozzie development. As Nigel said, the focus was on safety, practical and easy use, fun ride and unique and new experience delivered with the development of improved and new hoverboard technology. First of all, Mozzie uses SafeEdge battery technology based on Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePo4), unlike other hoverboards that are using Li-ion batteries. How is this different? Well, Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries are safer than the Lithium Ion batteries because the chance that these batteries will be caught by fire is almost zero (99% less chance).
Other great concern when it comes to hoverboards is stability of the hoverboard. It is well known that if you put just one foot on the board it automatically moves. Cutting Edge has introduced TruRide Stability board technology which excludes possibility of hoverboard moving before both feet are firmly on the board. Also, if you move one foot of hoverboard it automatically stops.
Other big novelty at the Mozzie hoverboard is that the body of the hoverboard is made of one piece, as one compact plank, without central swivel. It is possible because Mozzie uses upgraded sensors strong enough to predict wich side do you wish to turn upon your weight shifts. This way Mozzie is much easier and safer to ride as well as more stable.
Other features of Mozzie are more standard like built-in LED head and tail lights, integrated Bluetooth speakers, rubber footpads and two carrying handles on both front and rear end of the hoverboard. These handles are integrated in Mozzie design as integral part of its cool appearance.
For better performance and riding experience Mozzie App has been designed. Through the app you will be able to customize and track different aspects of your ride like current speed, traveled distance, battery lever, battery and motor temperature, sensitivity of the board, adjustment of LED lights, Mozzie firmware updates etc.
