Today I will present you the new Razor hoverboard for kids, which is part of a new and attractive line of Razor hoverboards for kids. It is a Razor Hovertrax Prizma and I could freely say that it is a kids’ version of their most successful hoverboard for adults, Razor Hovertrax 2.0, which we wrote about earlier. The new Razor hoverboards for kids are a real refreshment on the hoverboard market and they come with vivid colors, multicolor LED lights, powerful motors and speeds of up to 10 mph, which is a pretty impressive speed for any hoverboard.
Design and Main Features of Razor Hovertrax Prizma
When you look at the Razor Hovetrax Prizma hoverboard, it is immediately clear that the Razor didn’t get much involved in changing the design. It matches the classic Razor hoverboard design already present in its famous Hovetrax 1.5 and Hovertrax 2.0 models. In addition to the Razor Hovetrax Prizma, two other models in their line of kids’ hoverboards are Black Label Hovetrax and Hovertrax X-Ray. In principle, it is the same model of hoverboard with certain aesthetic differences.
Like I said, the Hovertrax Prizma has a classic Razor design that features sharp edges visually intersecting under different angles, thus creating a sporty, aggressive look. In addition, wide foot pads are to provide additional stability and safety while driving, and are also covered with rubber to avoid unwanted slipping. All in all, Razor sticks to its well proven recipe when it comes to the safety of hoverboard riders and this is very important since this model is intended for kids.

The Hovertrax Prizma stands on 6.5″ solid rubber tires with aluminum hubs. This is a compact and lightweight hoverboard weighing just over 13 lbs, so it is easy to carry it in a hand when the battery runs out. Since these hoverboards are intended for kids aged 8 or older, it should not be a problem for them to carry it. When not driving, it can be easily stored under the bed, in the closet or somewhere in the bedroom where it will not stick out. The dimensions of this model are 23.2″ x 7.1″ x 6.8″, so it does not take up much space in the house.
I was especially amazed by Hovertrax’s multicolor LED lights. Thanks to the multicolor LED lighting, this hoverboard looks like a disco on wheels. LED lighting is located on the front in the form of two elongated LED strips (one on the left and one on the right). However, the Razor did not stop only at thefront LED lighting. Razor LED logos are placed on both wheel hubs, so when driving in the dark it gives the impression of LED spinning blades. This is a very cool effect that your kids will just enjoy in.
I have already said that Razor hoverboards are characterized by exceptional quality of workmanship, and this model is no exception. The frame is made of metal, coated with a shutter-resistant polymer mask that can be in black, blue or pink. The metal frame and shutter-resistant mask ensures the durability and resistance to shocks, scratches, and damages, enabling it to be used longer as your kids’ favorite rideon. The maximum load capacity of this model is 176 lbs, so it can also be used by teenagers and adults who meet this maximum weight requirement.

First of all it UL2272 certified meaning that it has passed all necessary UL tests and it is safe from fire hazards. And finally, this model has two driving modes, Training mode for less experienced riders and when it’s on the maximum speed of this model is limited under 5 mph, and Normal mode with maximum speed of 9 mph.
Final Verdict
Deffinitely one of the best and safest hoverbords for kids on the market. Beside safety, sporty design, and nice performances, I liked the multicolor LED lights, which is a really cool feature. Also, the price is more than acceptable, concerning how well made is Hovertrax Prizma, and for just $179 you will get a lot more than at the competing models for the same price. Very good and reliable hoverboard.
