Do you remember that strange loooking self balancing scooter with one huge wheel implemented in skateboard look a like standing platform back in 2014? Yes? Well, today we are presenting you the upgraded version called Onewheel+off-road hoverboard. Onewheel and Onewheel+ are produced by Future Motion Inc founded in 2013 and owned by Kyle Doerksen who is also inventor and main engineer of Onewheel self balancing skateboards.
Future Motion is based in Santa Cruz, California thus Onewheel+ is completely designed and produced in the USA. It is a great advantage when it comes to customer relations and product support.
Onewheel+ Is Different Than Any Other Hoverboard
Onewheel+ is, possibly, the ultimate off-road hoverboard or skateboard or self balancing scooter. No matter how you call it it’s just amazing. Basically it’s a slab of wood with metal frame and a cutout in the middle for a centrally placed wheel. This wheel is powered by improved electric motors allowing you to the best off and on road experience while driving around on streets, sidewalks, grass, gravel etc.

This hoverboard is a cutting edge and state-of-the-art, forward-thinking, all-terrain and robust like a tank, almost indestructible. It features a redesigned motor with patented Hypercore technology allowing even smoother and quieter riding, more torque at all speeds, better hill-climbing, and top speeds up to 19 mph (4 mph more than Onewheel).
App, Control and Lights
Also, there are some more improvements available at Onewheel+ like more advanced and ergonomically improved foot pads with full sensor coverage and the app (Digital Shaping 2.0) for riders’ finer control over Onewheel+ for customizable ride feel and performance settings. Digital Shaping App allows the rider to choose between “Extreme” and “Classic” settings. These settings enable the rider to alter the feel of the ride and the speed settings. “Classic” setting is for beginners, and if this option is ON the board automatically slows you down at 8 mph. On the other hand, on “Extreme” setting everything is left to the rider enabling him to achieve maximum speed.
The Onewheel+ features INTELLIGENT LED LIGHTS, meaning LED headlights and taillights will automatically reverse when you switch direction.
