Review of Razor E Prime III Electric Scooter - The Best Commuting Scooter Under $400

As far as I can see, there is a general craze for electric scooters. Razor E Prime III – Lightweight, Foldable & Portable Electric Scooter

The Razor E Prime III Electric Scooter is easy to hand-carry on public transport, lightest in the range weighing just 24.2 lbs, designed with riders in mind. This scooter is light weight, foldable and portable making it easier than ever to carry along with you where you go.

We especially liked the quick folding mechanism and its unique design,
thus stands out from a bunch of similar scooters . The Razor has a patent pending for this design. With just one twist you will be able to easily assemble/disassemble the scooter making it ready for ride or to carry in hand.

Power in Combination With Air Filled Tires

Powered by a 36V Li-ion battery, 250 W motor will push Razor E Prime III electric scooter to reach maximum speed of 18 mph (29 km/h). On a single charge this scooter has a long range of up to 15 miles (24 km)! Also, the 250 W motor is high-torque, brushless, rear-wheel hub-driven making this model as silent as possible. What we really didn’t like was initial charging time of 8 hours. After that you will need up to 6 hours to fully recharge the battery when it runs out of the juice. However, this isn’t so hard if you do it during the night, so the scooter will be ready for the morning. Above the on/off button you can find 5 level battery indicator in 3 colors indicating how much juice is still in the battery.

Also, you can use this scooter as a regular kick scooter without using the motor. But, be aware, when you have juice in batteries and you move faster than 3 mph, don’t apply the throttle because engine will engage.

Now about some cool stuff. This scooter has built-in LED headlight with bright white LEDs, brake-activated taillight and reflective decals work to keep safety a priority enabling more secure riding during the night. LED hedlight is powerful enough to enlight the path in front of the scooter. You can easily secure this model with plain bicycle lock thanks to a security lock point placed behind the front wheel.

Razor E Prime II comes with 8″ front inflatable tire for smoother ride over the bumps. The rear tire is airless 8″ tire and you shouldn’t change it for air filled tire! And be aware, this scooter was built for riders with maximum weight up to 220 lbs.
