Turboant Thunder T1 Fat Tire Electric Bike is one of the new 2021 models of popular fat tire e-Bikes. You’ve probably encountered it in your search for the ultimate electric bike and had some questions. The Turboant Thunder T1 costs around $1,500 and it is already one of the top sellers on the market. At the moment it’s on preorder and first shipments are expected in April 2021. But, is it worth the money? Keep reading to learn why we rated this one of the best electric bikes bellow $1,500.
Is it Worth the Money?
The Thunder T1 electric bike is a popular choice thanks to some great features like 750 W motor, detachable battery, great performance over different terrains, and up to 60 miles travel on a single charge. So, i wanted to see if it is really that good to live up the hype.
Quality and Design
The Turboant Thunder T1 has a great design, with a style that fits somewhere between a mountain bike and urban cruiser. After all, it was built more for urban areas, but thanks to fat tires you can use it in off-road driving. However, don’t expect miracles of this model, it’s not a racing bike like Delfast Top 3.0.

The build quality is good and tough thanks to an 6061 aluminum alloy frame. Since it was made of aluminium alloy it weighs 73 lbs. Some other features that stand out are the adjustable alloy front fork, 26″x 4.0″ fat tires and a multi-function LCD digital display. There is half twist throttle.
I was dispointed when realized that the maximum load capacity of this bike is only 264 lbs. That might be a downside for some users. The Thunder T1 features 3 riding modes: Throttle only, Pedal assist, and a Pedal only mode. Pedal Assist mode comes with 5-level assistance, so you can adjust the right level for you. Don’t worry about the whole bike assemble thing, it comes 90% completed, so it is easy.
Motor and Battery
The Thunder T1 Fat Tire electric bike comes with a 750 watt brushless motor which is powerful enough to give you a bike with a great range, speed and a comfortable ride. The top speed of Thunder T1 is 20 mph, which will get you where you are going quickly. It delivers an impressive 60 mile range on a single charge (if you engage pedal assist mode, on throttle only mode maximum range drops to 35 miles).

As far as battery life, the T1 e-Bike uses a 48 V 14 Ah lithium ion battery with the charging time of about 5 hours. Not bad at all for this kind of power. That’s not too terribly long for the lithium battery to be in the battery charger.

Other Features and Final Thoughts
This bike is loaded with 7-speed SHIMANO derailleur for easier biking when the battery runs out. In that case you can ride it as any plain bike. SHIMANO performs great and offers easy ride on uphills.
I liked tghe best 26″ fat tires, which combined with front fork suspension are providing enough comfort over bumps. As I already said, this is not a model for ultimate off-road experience and these fat tires and front fork will not perform best over rough terrains. In case that you are looking for best off-road electric bikes try QuietKat Ridgerunner, QuietKat Ranger, BAKCOU Mule Elite, Rambo Rebel or Rungu Dualie fat tire electric bikes. These are pro models made for extreme off-roading and are among best hunting electric bikes.
The Turboant Thunder T1 e-Bike really impressed me, because for the price of just $1,500 it handles various terrains more than good. The design and style are awesome. This e-bike looks good and it is built solid. In overall, don’t expect an animal when it comes to Thunder T1, but if you are looking for reliable city cruiser and light off-road companion this is the choice for you.
