The YUME D4+ looks robust and powerful, and we can’t say no to that. It features minimalistic design present with the most of off-road runners today. It is equipped with an LCD display, a voltage anti-theft lock, and what I liked the most wide. I am a sucker for wide decks because the wider the deck the ride is more comfortable for your feet.
It’s a high speed scooter with a foldable design, which is great for storing it in tight spaces or carrying for short distances. Remember, it weighs 60 lbs, so it’s not practical to carry it around for longer period of time. Foldable design is present to allow you easy storage and lower space consumption when not in use. The folding mechanism is so simple that I loved it at a first site.
The YUME D4+ has super durable frame made of strong aluminum alloy, which gives the rider extra confidence during off-road riding. It stands on chubby fat 10-inch tires, and together with a front suspension system that uses four springs plus two rear springs provides you comfortable ride even over the bigger bumps and potholes. You can expect a comfortable ride no matter where you are using it.
Extra sturdy and durable frame allows it to support a rider that weighs up to 330 pounds. I have around 250 lbs and there were no problems riding it in urban and off-road conditions.
Motor, Battery, Speed and Range of D4+
As I already said, the D4+ comes with powerful dual 2000W motor (1000 W on each wheel) able to boost the speed to maximum 40 mph. It’s a super crazy speed and I recommend it only to experience riders. There were no problems to speed up fast on uphills and on downhills I almost felt like Superman.
As a power source the D4+ is equipped with 52V, 23.4Ah high capacity battery providing enough power to ride as far as 40 miles on a single charge. You can switch between single and dual motor mode, and when it’s on single motor mode the battery lasts longer. However, when it’s on single motor mode maximum performances are lower. Thanks to two charging ports you can connect it to two chargers, essentially cutting down charging time in half. When it’s on dual charging you will need 4 to 5 hours to fully recharge the battery.
